Figarden Trio
The Figarden Trio is made up of Laura Porter (harp) and husband and wife, Larry Gardner (bassoon) and Nancy Wallace (flute). Porter is the principal harpist for the Fresno Philharmonic and Bakersfield Symphony Orchestras and has previously performed with Wallace for the Bakersfield Symphony.

The Trio features an unusual collection of instruments not often performed together. Their repertoire includes music by André Jolivet, Jean-Michel Damase, Arthur Foote, Mathieu Lussier, Johann Joachim Quantz and A. Torriani.

Verdi Quartett
The Verdi Quartett, composed of violinists Susanne Rabenschlag and Matthias Ellinger, violist Karin Wolf and cellist Zoltán Paulich, is widely considered one of Germany’s leading chamber music ensembles. The Quartett has performed throughout Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, and recorded 20 acclaimed CDs. Their noontime Brahms Piano Quintet performance will feature the Library’s 1876 Centennial Steinway grand piano.
