As of August 12, 2020, the Henry Madden Library will be open with limited in-person services for current Fresno State students, faculty and staff. The majority of our services will continue to be conducted virtually. Please see below for the virtual services currently available to students and faculty.
Virtual Service Hours: The Virtual Services below are staffed Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. During these hours, service points are monitored by Madden librarians who will ensure that your message is addressed or routed to the correct service.

All material loan periods have been adjusted due to the need to quarantine material for 7 days. Please check your account to confirm your material due dates at any time. Books can be returned via the dropbox just outside the library entrance. Tech Lending equipment and larger library items that cannot be returned in the book drop can be returned in-building during library hours. - Stack items, scores, maps and gov docs: 16 weeks (students); 1 year (faculty)
- Short term items (Teacher Resource Center, Petrucci, CDs, reference items, periodicals, etc.): 30 days
- Reserved material: 30 days
- Laptops/tablets/Headphones: 16 weeks
- All other equipment (cameras, calculators, 3D printers, etc.): 30 days

Requests online 24/7. Electronic items delivered via email. Physical item pick-up at Circulation Desk 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Processing and delivery times may be somewhat delayed due to partner library staffing and hours resulting from the pandemic.
Do you need to get in contact with a group in the library? Use the Patron Connect form to initiate your connection and deliver your message. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response -- all units are checking messages regularly.
All of our streaming media resources will remain available continuously.
