Hosted by ANCA, the Arne Nixon Center Advocates, a catered reception for the book’s creators will begin at 6:00 p.m., with a presentation to follow at 7:00 p.m. The free event is open to the public.
Rad American Women A–Z is not your typical alphabet book. It features 26 women chosen for their bravery, tenacity, and power to impact our world. Angela Davis, Kate Bornstein, Dolores Huerta, and Patti Smith are just some of the women included in this inspiring resource for all ages. X, the most problematic letter for alphabet books, poignantly stands out in Rad American Women: it is for all the women’s names we don’t know. Rad American Women A–Z is the first children’s book to be published by City Lights Publishers in San Francisco. For more information about the book, please visit www.radamericanwomen.com.
