Beginning August 23, 2021, the Henry Madden Library will be open with full services for Fresno State students, faculty/staff, and the public. Fall semester hours are (holidays excepted):
- Monday -Thursday 7:45 a.m. to midnight
- Friday 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday: noon to midnight
Virtual Services: The library’s virtual services will also be available throughout the fall semester. The popular 24/7 librarian chat feature is also available for students and faculty working remotely, as are Zoom, email, and phone consultations.
Paging Service: Students, faculty, and staff can request materials from our collections through the OneSearch feature, and will be notified by email when items are ready to pick up. Learn how to request books and media through our paging service. The stacks will be open for browsing starting August 9th.
Tech Lending: Tech Lending items can be requested through our website and be picked up at the desk. We have a large number of new devices for students this fall, including high-performance laptops.
CSU+ and Interlibrary Loan Services have also restarted, and items can be picked up at the library.
Service Points: Faculty and staff can access service points throughout the library. See our Library Services at a Glance page for information about specific areas in the Henry Madden Library.
Face Coverings: Protective face coverings are required for all students, faculty and staff, as well as for all visitors to the Fresno State Campus.
Food and beverages: Eating and drinking (aside from bottled water) are limited to the second floor Starbucks area, which is set up for social distancing. Protective face coverings must be worn at all other public locations throughout the library.
Building Partners in the Library: Our library building partners such as DISCOVERe, The Learning Center, Services for Students with Disabilities, Starbucks, and the Graduate Study Center will also be available. Please refer to their web pages for further information.
