Murales De Mi Tio

Murales de mi tio translated means the murals of my uncle. The uncle and artist featured in this exhibition is Daniel “Chano” Gonzalez, a muralist during the Chicano movement in the 1970’s. These murals have been used in numerous Chicano Studies classes by Gonzalez’s nephew and Fresno State instructor, Phillip Gonzales.

  • This is a free, public exhibition open during normal Library hours.
  • Parking is $4 and free on the weekends. Please visit a campus parking kiosk.

This exhibition is co-sponsored by the President’s Commission on Human Relations and Equity.

Exhibition Opening Reception

  • Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in Pete P. Peters Ellipse Balcony gallery, Henry Madden Library
  • Light refreshments will be served.
