Free Museum Day: November 3, 2018
The Henry Madden Library is participating in Free Museum Day on Saturday, November 3. The Library is one of 19 different museums and educational site participating across the Central Valley.
Free Museum Day gives everyone an opportunity to experience the wealth of art, culture, history, science and natural beauty of the greater Fresno region and its surrounding areas. The event encourages visitors of all ages to explore and engage in each site’s educational offerings. The Henry Madden Library is a proud member of the Greater Fresno Alliance of Museums & Educational Sites.
Free Museum Day
Saturday, November 3, 2018 in the Henry Madden Library
- 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Library is open to the public.
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Library greeters and docents will be available for questions and the free button maker station will be open.
- This event is free and open to the public.
- Parking is unrestricted and recommended in lots P30 and P31, closest to the Library.
The Library’s two current exhibitions, Genocides of the 20th Century and Murales de mi Tio, will be on display and open to the public. An Armenian Studies expert docent will be available in the Genocides exhibition from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. to engage with and educate visitors. This is the final weekend to view these two exhibitions before they leave Fresno State.
A button maker station will also be available to visitors to create custom buttons to take home with them.
