Current SCRC Initiatives

The Special Collections Research Center is striving to document the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in real time. In addition to documenting the campus’s response to the pandemic through campus websites, emails and social media, we are asking Fresno State students, faculty, staff and administrators to contribute their personal reminiscences and experiences of how COVID-19 has affected their education, work and personal lives. We are looking to solicit the following types of materials:

• Emails,
• Social media posts
• Personal accounts by faculty, students, staff and administrators
• Oral histories, personal accounts and journals
• Plans for virtual instruction
• Telecommuting procedures
• Photographs, reports, memoranda

The Special Collections Research Center is working to collect material related to the social justice movement and anti-racism protests that began in May 2020 as it relates to Fresno State. We are interested in soliciting and preserving material from campus affiliated organizations, offices, programs and administration as it relates to social justice, equity, inclusion and reform. We are looking to solicit the following types of materials:

• Social media posts
• Personal accounts from students, faculty, staff and administrators
• Oral histories
• Personal videos from protests or about the current social justice movement
• Protest signs
• Records of campus affiliated social justice organizations, offices and programs
• Photographs
• Reports, announcements and memoranda from campus administration
