Analysis Summary

This text could be considered problematic to people because there are racial stereotypes included. There is text and illustrations that can give students the wrong idea of other cultures.

Impact Assessment

This book might impact students because young students don’t know a lot about other cultures. Reading and looking at pictures might give students the wrong idea of how other cultures should be seen. For example, my focal student is from a different culture than the ones mentioned in the book, but it can give him the wrong idea of cultures he does not know about.
