This text is eye catching to students and it is intriguing to many. Children may want to read the book because it is a pretty book. Although it portrays a negative image of mexicans by lack of true representations of Mexico. For example Mexico being represent like the apparence of a desert.
Impact Assessment
All of our focal students are of hispanic descent. This book can portray a negative self image to the students and make them feel bad about themselves.

¿Qué Puedes Hacer con una Paleta? (What Can You Do With a Paleta?) - This book depecipts Hispanic culture. The book is vibrante colorful and children would actually enjoy the book. The book celebrates and does not push down against Mexican culture. It pushes forwards doing whatever you please with popsicles.
